Timbits UNDER 7 (U7) 2025-2026
U7-1 (2021 born players) will not be evaluated
All U7-2 and U7-3 players require an evaluation pinnie, which can be picked up at the TASA Office (Top hallway of the Fountain Rink) during the following times: TDB
Important note: All players will require their own jersey and socks for the evaluations, please reach out if you require any assistance. Timbits team jerseys will be distributed after the players are evaluated, balanced and assigned to their teams.

What is Timbits U7

Timbits U7 stands for Timbits Under 7, formally known as the Initiation Program. It is the Division set by Hockey Canada for players who turn 4, 5 and 6 years old by December 31st, 2025.

Registration: Timbits U7 has 3 divisions for registration purposes U7-1 (2021), U7-2 (2020) & U7-3 (2019)

Teams in Timbits U7-2 & 3 will be evaluated, balanced and assigned accordingly.

Registration numbers will determine how many divisions will be required.

Season Format: October 2025 - March 2026

20 weekends - 40 ice times

Teams will be split into 4-5 groups on the ice

Groups will remain the same throughout the season
Jamborees: Players can play in a maximum of 3 jamborees per season. These fees are additional to registration and will be collected independently from the season registration process.

Respect in Sport: This is a mandatoryonline coursefor Families new to hockey.
Financial Assistance: Families may require financial aid for registration and team fees. Families have several options, including:

The Victor T. Shea Assistance Fund:Victor T Shae Assistance is available to families in TASA who may require assistance with registration fees and/or gear purchasing. The Victor Shea family set up this fund to ensure that children were not prevented from playing hockey due to financial restraints.
