The fund is administered by a Committee, which operates independent of the TASA Executive, over a five-year period, commencing with the 2017- 2018 season.  
 
The use and allocation of the fund is determined by the absolute discretion of the Committee.  The Committee will consider applications based on financial need, character and commitment.  Unfortunately, not all deserving players will be able to receive assistance as there are only limited funds available. No reasons will be given by the Committee for the granting or non-granting of assistance.
 
The Committee will consider applications in respect of children who would be eligible to play minor hockey with TASA (recreational and competitive) and only for costs associated with playing hockey with TASA Minor Hockey.  TASA registration and/or equipment costs are eligible for assistance.
 
All applications, and the awarding of assistance, will be kept strictly confidential. Specific members of the TASA Executive may be consulted on a confidential basis for the purpose of providing information to the Committee, or to facilitate the assistance. All decisions will be made by the Committee independent of the TASA Executive.
